One of our favorite family activities is doing food crawls! This time, we went to five different cafés and restaurants in Sathorn, Bangkok. In case you missed it, we also posted about:
Phloen Chit, Bangkok Food Crawl
Here’s a recap of what we do in every food crawl:
Budget Food Crawl Guide
1. Look up popular places and hand pick at least 5 with different themes.
2. Places must be within walking distance of each other.
3. The eating must be spread out from lunch to dinner.
4. Order only 1-2 items from the menu to share.
The more people to share them with, the cheaper it gets. So invite more friends to join you!
Flaneur Tea

Flaneur means “a passionate wonderer who strolls through and experiences the city aimlessly.” This somewhat explains what our food crawls are all about to some degree. 😊

We tried the beautiful Chocolate Earl Gray cake, a surprising mix of flavors with bursts of freshness from the fruits on top, and the Yuzu Espresso Soda, a bitter, citrusy, and fizzy concoction I strangely liked after a long walk.

Mark tried a refreshing glass of peach champaca, and perhaps the winner of all our selections, Tikoy’s Valrhona Iced Cocoa. 🍫

Supanniga Eating Room
All the tables at Supanniga Eating Room were taken when we arrived the night before. We went back the next day and discovered it was for a good reason: the food was delicious!

This Michelin Guide-recommended restaurant offers generational recipes (from their grandmother) reminiscent of their Trad and Chantaburi province-inspired homestyle cooking with a modern, Isaan touch.
We gravitated to their delicious-looking Moo Cha Muang, an oriental Thai curry, and it did not disappoint! It certainly packs the flavor in each bite—extra rice needed. 🍚

Make sure to finish the meal with the Thai tea panna cotta!

(Not Just) Another Cup
We’re glad our son insisted on trying (Not Just) Another Cup when we thought of skipping it. It’s an all-day breakfast restaurant that offers wholesome breakfast items, coffee, fresh juices, and delicious smoothies.

We gave our son free rein on what to order, and while I would have wanted to try a more adventurous smoothie and sandwich option, his choices were delicious.

Our son accidentally knocked his dad’s barely touched glass of green smoothie. I bit my tongue when I felt sorry for the waste (it was an accident, anyway), but the crew returned a few minutes later with a free replacement glass–this time, it was in a plastic, covered cup. That was very generous!
