Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar: A Heritage Tour Like No Other in Bataan

Our first brush with Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar was at my wife’s friend’s wedding. It was a quick glimpse of the place as we weren’t able to go around except for the venues where the ceremony and reception was held. But even then, we couldn’t help but swoon at the glory of old Manila.…

Maayo Hotel: For a Wellness Staycation in Cebu

The interiors were already promising as we stepped into Maayo Hotel’s basement, and taking a whiff of their signature Hibiscus scent on our way to the seventh floor lobby, we knew we’re in for a relaxing stay. Cebuano folk songs arranged as an instrumental music of ukelele and bandurria can be heard within the hotel’s…

Mount Purro Nature Reserve: For a Family Getaway in Antipolo

I first set foot at Mount Purro Nature Reserve in 2014 in one of the teen camps we hold in my previous work. It is  a sprawling eco-park nestled at the foothills of Sierra Madre Mountain Range run by the Malvars in their mission to protect the balding mountains. It seemed like a world of…

We wanted a staycation for the family during the Christmas season but then our frugal spirit reminds us not to. Like most Filipinos, the holidays compel us to spend more as the noche buena and gift-giving season approaches. After some brainstorming, we finally settled with a hotel that has the following amenities: Affordable– it has…

After getting a couple of recommendations, we finally tried this healthier version of Sisig made with tofu and mushrooms. 🍄 We added a spin to the recipe using whatever is in our fridge and it’s delicious!
Death could not hold You
We’re happy to introduce Philippine animals to Tikoy. We paired his @kidstarter animal cut-outs with the MGA HAYOP SA FILIPINAS book by @adarnahouse . Aside from naming the animals, we also taught him about their natural habitat— water, land and trees.
It’s the first day of April! We’re done with the first quarter of 2021, and our Tikoy is turning four soon! It seems like yesterday when we first announced that we were expecting! :)
We've been joining home improvement groups lately and have encountered good reviews about @scrubdaddyph . Their product design made us very curious. Finally, we got hold of their cleaning materials and have used them for weeks now. We're currently writing a full review, but for now, we can honestly say that this is an excellent addition to your kitchen and bathrooms! We've tried the following products:
Non-pros like me can say goodbye to our liner woes because @heyluxxlash ‘s Clear Liner is here! It's a foolproof beauty secret that gives you freedom from mistakes for fuller, fresher lashes (to achieve that natural look) in no time!

"Mommy, you look like a stand fan!" -Tikoy. 😂🤷‍♀️
We’re on a @brookeligertwood binge and Something in the Water is our current LSS. 🌊
We’re happy to share these new and exciting products from @tinybudsbaby and @buds.and.blooms.moms
It was quite a challenge to teach numbers to Tikoy. He took some time to figure out the symbols, so we focused on the counting and ensuring that numbers make sense to him.
Last week, @sessiongroceries had a vegetable sale to support farmers in the North. We got this mountain of lettuce for only 69 pesos. If you have a heart to help Filipino farmers, you can download their app and order fruits and vegetables from them.
A working mom and a stay at home mom are both full-time mothers. But with moms working from home now, it’s hard to tell the difference. Tikoy and I are always grateful for Abi’s kindness to us even though she feels like she’s raising two boys sometimes.
Our version of tofu katsudon! We got the recipe from @pepper.ph
Tikoy: Daddy, what do you call the tip of the shoe lace?
