Don’t you just love how everything can be bought online? Take baked goods, in particular. You simply choose from an array of baked goodies, submit your order, transfer payment, and get them at your doorstep. Today, there are possibly hundreds, if not thousands of IG bakers available in Metro Manila alone, and one particular baker we’ve had the honor of partnering with is Bakepertise.

Bakepertise is authored by a food technologist-turned-baker, Jeanne Molina. She initially put her passion to practice through Louisse’s Sugar and Pastries which later re-branded to its now well-loved title, Bakepertise.

She started with cupcakes, banana breads, cookies, and later added moist chocolate cake in a can, which was an instant hit for her patrons. The latter getting the social media nod, contributed to Bakepertise’s growing popularity which opened more opportunities for Jeanne to expand her offerings. She has then appeared as guest in Mars (TV Show in GMA News TV), and other top 10 listings.

We were first introduced to her Filipino line of Ensaymadas in familiar flavors like Cheese, Itlog na maalat, and even Ube Langka.

Later, we won a raffle for her Chocolate Strawberry Cake in a Jar. We were impressed by its moistness, and the perfect balance between the bitterness of the dark chocolate and sweetness, plus a fruity kick of strawberry.

After this, we tapped her to make the Totoro themed cupcakes for our baby Atticus’s first birthday as a favor, and also asked her to make a candy buffet.

The cupcakes, which were intended for kids also won the hearts of our adult guests and ran out almost as soon as the candy buffet opened. Good thing Atticus’s tita was able to secure two pieces for us.

We also tried the Cream Cheese Banana Bread, a flavorful Banana loaf tucked with a rich cream cheese in the middle. This order arrived at our house nice and warm, and was immediately consumed by Atticus.

We love that this unique spin to the otherwise very familiar loaf is super moist and soft. Perfect for our baby’s afternoon snack. He loved it so much, he practically finished the whole thing.
