If you ever find yourself itching to have a change of scenery, or thinking of spending a couple of days going around Bangkok, the Millenium Hilton offers the perfect spot and access to the city.

Our family of three was spending Christmas on our own for the first time, and we thought of having a hassle-free celebration. So, we booked a room at the Millenium Hilton.

What We Like About It

1. It has a riverside view.

Our room was decently spacious, with windows that gave us a good view of the Chao Phraya river. Our son was very happy to watch ferries passing by.

2. It’s near ICONSIAM and other shopping malls

Millenium Hilton is four minutes away from ICONSIAM. Well, multiply it by two when you are walking with a little boy. Other nearby shopping centers are Gallery, Iconluxe, and Lush Iconsiam.

3. It’s complete with wellness and recreation amenities.

Get this: Millenium Hilton’s spa alone spans two floors, where you can get the famous massage and other treatments. Swim a few laps at the pool, or get a charge of endorphins at the fitness center.

Most of the pool is for swimming laps for adults, but kids can stay on the shallow parts.

Its pool is one of the popular ones in Bangkok as you can swim or lounge about with the view of the city. It’s modestly sized, and kids can safely splash about on the shallow parts.

4. It’s nearby BTS Gold Line station

Guests can go just about everywhere, thanks to Millenium Hilton’s proximity to the BTS Gold Line station. It offers so much accessibility whether you want to go around Bangkok or visit other places.

5. The breakfast buffet.

The main event: breakfast buffet! A good breakfast is always a treat, so we spoiled ourselves with bacon and pastries. We were welcomed by the host and they offered seating options: indoors, or outdoors for a better view of the river. We chose the first one since we have a little boy in tow.

The range of dishes wasn’t overwhelmingly extensive, yet it had great points for the classics: eggs benedict, bacon, and a good number of Thai dishes. But what we made the most of were the pastries and coffee.
