Tikoy has a growing interest in stories and likes to listen to new ones whenever we have our little virtual book club with his friends. He has exhausted his current collection and we’re more than happy to add to it, except we practically can’t visit a book store these days.

So we turned to Shopee in the hopes of finding good deals on books we’ve been trying to get, and lo and behold: we discovered Ink and Stone! It’s like a little secret we want to keep for ourselves, but obviously, we’re too happy with our experience that we can’t help but share it.
They Have a Wide Variety of Titles

When we searched, all we wanted to buy was a copy of Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown because it’s one of Time Magazine’s top 100 children’s books. Tikoy also loves the author’s other book, Goodnight Moon, so we thought that this might become another favorite of his.

Checking the whole store, we were surprised that they carry a lot of other, shall we say, superstar books such as The Very Hunger Caterpillar by Eric Carle, Oh, The Places You’ll Go by Dr. Seuss, The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, and more.
It’s not very often that Shopee bookstores actually have a lot to offer and is probably one of the reasons why we hesitate to push through some purchases because it’s “sayang” when you factor in the shipping fee. With Ink and Stone, however, you’ll find more than one book and even other genres like young adult books, educational books, and even arts and crafts materials.
Their Prices are Competitive

The problem with good books, especially the best sellers, is that they’re expensive. A Dr. Seuss book can play around PHP 500.00 and above and can be quite discouraging on the budget department when you’re trying to grow your kid’s library. At Ink and Stone, you can score them starting at PHP 100.00. That’s a steal!
Their Books are Brand New
We have no qualms with second-hand books. In fact, we frequent second-hand bookstores because most of the rare ones are available there, or we can get the board versions at a good price.

At first, we didn’t expect too much from Ink and Stone since their products are affordable, and for some reason, we had it in our minds that we’ll get the pocket version. So when the package arrived and we saw the the whole delivery pouch was occupied, we thought we got the wrong package. But we were pleasantly surprised that they’re actually the large paper back versions that’s very suitable for story time and even for presenting to Tikoy’s virtual book club.

Good customer service
We’ve added half of their available children’s books to cart, only to be heart broken upon check out when the app notified us that there aren’t any shipping options operational to deliver in our area. It was such a good deal to let go of, not to mention, the first online book store where most of the books we want were available. So, being the kind of an online shopper who asks a lot of questions, Abi checked with the seller if there are other shipping options. Thankfully, they replied and was able to fix this little hiccup. They even shipped the books the next day! Had it been pre-ECQ, we probably would have received them in a day. But it arrived in four days, which was quick given our current circumstance.

Thank goodness for avenues like these that help encourage our families to read. You can purchase from their store at Shopee.ph/inkandstone. Follow their accounts as well at Facebook.com/inkandstone and Instagram @inkandstonestore.
Thank you for sharing this Mark x Abi. Just in time. I’m building my stash for my kids’ library at home.
And, yes you’re right! There are so many pricey popular books out there that I already bought that are quite frustrating. Will definitely try this one. ♥♥♥
