Hot take: KFC Thailand’s menu is worth trying. But before we get any hate for saying that—nothing beats authentic Thai dishes and well-loved Thai street food. But if you’re like us who needed accessible food, say, on our way to the airport and down to our last Thai Baht as tourists, fast food is an easy option.

Is KFC a Must Try in Thailand?
Dare we say, it’s a must-try Thai food? Traveling to a few countries affirmed what they say: most fast food tastes differently in different territories and features fun menu items only available locally. If you’re up for it, why not.
As for Thailand KFC, our Filipino fast food-trained taste buds want a tiny bit more saltiness and copious amounts of gravy with a requisite steamed rice. But we do like their local Thai take on the rice bowl: the Spicy Chicken Rice Bowl.
Starting at 69 THB for a medium serving of steamed, soft jasmine rice topped with signature crunchy fried chicken tossed with zingy larb flavor: roasted rice powder, chilies, chopped coriander, and sliced shallots, it may raise the eyebrows of some, but mere mortals like us say it works.
Other than that, we also order from their Chick n’ Joy line: Chick N Bun, our son’s favorite, and may be a satisfying snack for those who can’t take much heat. It’s a no-frill crispy boneless chicken sandwich with mayo and a few slices of lettuce. Another is their Chick n’ Roll, which replaces the bun with a flour tortilla wrap.
