A trip to Singapore can be fun with little kids, with many family-friendly attractions, efficient transportation, and delicious food. Singapore is a great travel option for solo trips and even having precious one-on-one time with your little one.

If you’re hesitating to go on a mom-and-kid adventure, or are planning for a family trip soon, let me share a free DIY kid-friendly Singapore itinerary and a few things that might help!
Reminders Before Your Trip Abroad:
There are so many kid-friendly attractions in Singapore but we emphasize making it stress-free. For us, we hand-picked several major travel activities we and our son are most interested in and made sure to have enough breaks and free time within each travel day.

Choose a Kid-Friendly Destination: Opt for a place like Singapore with family-friendly attractions, no language barriers, safety, and efficient transportation.
Simplify Your Itinerary: Limit your daily activities to two nearby attractions that you both will enjoy. Save more intensive activities for future trips when they’re ready.
Prioritize Playtime: Kids need to move, choose to walk or include playground visits and pool time in your schedule.
Plan for Rest: Allow your child to sleep in, plan for breaks, and have snacks handy.
Empower Your Child: Let your son make choices about meals and some activities to involve him in the adventure.
Arrange Meetups: If possible, schedule meetups with friends for breaks and support!
Use Helpful Apps: Thankfully, there are many apps available to made our trip convenient and even helped us save money! Download apps like Google Maps, Grab, SG Buses, and Klook for convenience during your trip.
Family and Kid-Friendly Singapore Itinerary
Day 1
1. Arrival in Singapore. Bus and train transfers are available from Changi Airport. But since we haven’t secured our EZ-Link cards yet, we booked a Grab to our hotel to drop off our luggage.
2. Lunch at a nearby hawker center. One of the best ways to experience a city is through its local food. We’re happy our hotel has several hawker centers nearby, so we grabbed our welcome lunch from Alexandra Food Village.
3. ArtScience Museum. ArtScience Museum offers various attractions. We chose Future World: Where Art Meets Science.

4. Walk around Marina Bay to explore popular spots like the Marina Bay Sands, the Helix Bridge, Merlion, and more.
Day 2
1. Play date at East Coast Park. Set a playdate with friends at Singapore’s East Coast Park. It’s an excellent destination for families with kids because of its spacious and well-maintained beach and activity spots. It’s perfect for family outings with many child-friendly activities like playgrounds, cycling paths, and even areas for picnics and barbecues. Entrance to East Coast Park is free, but they also offer rental options for bicycles, skates, and family-friendly pedal carts. Don’t fuss about food prep because numerous food stalls and restaurants are along the park, so you can quickly grab a meal or snack. We recommend spending at least half a day of outdoor fun and relaxation with your little ones.

2. Explore the area around your hotel on foot and enjoy the pool. As we’re staying at Momentus Hotel Alexandra, we took time to explore the area by foot to discover shops and cafés around and headed back for some pool time.

Day 3
1. Singapore Duck Tour. Here’s a unique way to explore Singapore’s famous Marina Bay: Singapore Duck Tours! Ride on an amphibious vehicle and cover the most popular tourist spots with fewer crowds within an hour.

2. Shop and walk around Orchard Road. Since Orchard Road was just around the Singapore Duck Tours drop-off, we visited some stores and walked around the famous road for a little ice cream break.

3. Sentosa Island. We later found ourselves taking the monorail to Sentosa and absorbing its scenes through the island’s complimentary shuttle services. Entrance to the island is only SGD 4.00, and much of the area’s attractions are free. Other activities you may want to consider are: Universal Studios, Luge, Cable Car and more.
Day 4
1. Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum. The Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum in Singapore is a fascinating museum filled with a wide variety of life-sized dinosaur fossils, including the iconic diplodocus.

2. Gardens by the Bay. Gardens by the Bay features stunning, futuristic Supertree Grove structures that light up at night, creating a captivating visual display. The Children’s Garden within the park offers a water play area, playgrounds, and interactive installations designed specifically for kids. It’s a great place for little ones to run, play, and cool off. Additionally, the lush Flower Dome and Cloud Forest conservatories provide opportunities for educational exploration, showcasing various plant species in a climate-controlled environment.

Note: Gardens by the Bay has free areas like the outdoor gardens and some open spaces. However, certain attractions within the park has admission fees like The Flower Dome, Cloud Forest, and some special exhibitions. It’s best to spend most of the day at the dome and other spots, but save the Cloud Forest at night so you can also enjoy the light show.
